Be Brave Ranch Updates

The Be Brave Ranch is a facility that will offer a family-oriented treatment program that combines multiple proven therapies for children ages 8-12 who have been sexually abused.  Set to open in the fall of 2014 there is still a lot of work to be done.

Volunteer Work Days:  Through the upcoming months we will be hosting volunteer workdays. Our next work day for volunteers is Saturday, June 14th. If you would like to come as an individual or organize a group to come out to the Ranch for a work day please email Randi at randi@littlewarriors.ca.

Programming Donations: If you are able to help with donations for programming materials listed below please let us know! Email Michelle at  michelle@littlewarriors.ca

Library – We are in need of books for children ages 8-12. We would like adult books for when the adults join the children for family weekend. Books can be DVD, CD, hard or soft cover, etc. These donations can also be gift cards for Chapters, iTunes, KOBO, etc.

Toys – for the magic room. New toys still in packaging for ages 8 – 12 both boys and girls. Examples; puzzles, bead work, board games, drawing and form shaping toys, lego, etc.

Art Room Supplies –  Painting, crafts, bead work, wood working kits, drawing, gel markers, all types of paper, construction paper, pottery making material, leather work, bracelet making kits.

Music Room – Instruments, instrument stands, sheet music, CD’s (no parental guidance warnings on them). Need 7 music players/stereo systems. E.g. Sony, Bose.

Movie Room – DVD’s  PG rating

Brushstrokes for the Brave:  On June 7th for a minimum $10 donation, community members and families, are invited to give the gift of creativity and paint a piece of art under the guidance of local artists. The event will be held at the beautiful Great West Chrysler on 17817 Stony Plain Rd from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Click here for more information.
