The Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch by Ray LaBonte and Family is a specialized, trauma-informed evidence-based, treatment centre focused on helping children who have been sexually abused, as well as their families. Our program is for girls and boys from 8-12 years old and girls between the ages of 13 and 17.
Designed with significant input from many leading academic and clinical experts who specialize in child sexual abuse (see Our Team), the Be Brave Ranch program will help children overcome the devastating effects of child sexual abuse trauma, and change the trajectory of their lives.
With the proper therapeutic interventions, child survivors of sexual abuse can become adults with strong mental health that supports a positive outlook on life and enables them to participate in life and accomplish their goals.
We pride ourselves in being able to effectively manage our waiting lists so that children and youth from across Canada ages 8-17 in need of treatment for child sexual abuse trauma are able to come to the Be Brave Ranch and receive help in a timely manner.
In order to remove financial barriers and allow our program to be accessible to more children, teens, and families, Little Warriors will work with parents/caregivers to access financial supports that may be available to them and/or their children. We work hard to fundraise so we can help those in need of our life changing, specialized trauma treatment.
Clinical data results confirm the success of the Be Brave Ranch treatment program for boys and girls aged 8-12 and girls aged 13-17. The results include highly significant reductions in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety. Additionally, the intensive and comprehensive treatment program significantly improves self-esteem, cognitive abilities and resiliency. We believe this will lead to profound long-term benefits including reduced mental-health related issues and enriched outcomes for these children and their families in the future.
Little Warriors and the Be Brave Ranch are fully accredited through the Canadian Accreditation Council (CAC).
The purpose of accreditation is to support the creation and maintenance of viable structures, processes and practices that allow organizations like ours to offer the best possible programs and services.
Accreditation also gives families, participants and our supporters an even higher level of comfort knowing that Little Warriors has met—and in many areas exceeded—the high standards set by the CAC.

This place totally changed my life...the staff care so much and even helped my mom who was sexually abused like me as a kid. I don't feel crushed by my anxiety. I feel I can breathe again. I don't know what I would have done without the BBR.Lindsey
