Timea Nagy

Timea’s journey as a survivor of sex trafficking has led her to be one of the leading voices and change-makers in the national and global movement. Timea shared her story with hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, including Police officers, Social Workers, Tech companies like Airbnb or Facebook, Local, National, International and Global Government leaders, including Steven Harper, former Prime Minister of Canada, Kings, Queens, Princes & German-speaking Heads of State, Celebrities and many more.

As a UN advisor to the Global Financial Sector, she was the first Survivor to train and educate Bankers around the world about the signs of Human Trafficking. Ms. Nagy played a key role in Canada’s largest Human Trafficking investigation led by the RCMP Niagara detachment. Ms. Nagy founded Canada’s first safe house, which assisted over 500 police investigations and over 400 victims while it was operating.

Ms. Nagy is the founder and CEO of a survivor-led educational platform called TC Online Institute, and her educational content has been adopted on Canada’s largest law enforcement learning platform. She is also an Executive Producer and is currently producing a National TV show supporting First Responders.

Her efforts have been recognized by hundreds of organizations and individuals like Queen Elizabeth, the Prime Minister of Canada, and the Governor General, to name a few. Her story has been featured in major media outlets such as Forbes, The Economist, BBC, CNN, CTV, and The Social. Her memoir, Out of the Shadows, became an instant Bestseller the week of its publishing date, Nationwide.
