The 5th Annual Kids Helping Kids

April 10, 2027

Seven years ago, organizer Hal woke up in the middle of the night with a vision. He couldn't have known how far it would go.

Join us for the Kids Helping Kids Super Seminar 5.0
April 10, 2027

Last year's event, Super Seminar 4.0, brought gyms, athletes, parents, and donors together through the sport of jiu-jitsu and raised over $78,000 for Little Warriors, every dollar going directly toward education, advocacy, treatment, and prevention for children and families impacted by child sexual abuse.

"Jiu-Jitsu changes lives, believe it," said Hal, reflecting on how far the event has come. "And we're just getting started."

He's right. What started as a single event has grown into one of the most meaningful grassroots fundraising efforts in Little Warriors' history, and in 2027, we're aiming to go even further. The Kids Helping Kids Super Seminar is proof that you don't need to be a policymaker or a professional to move the needle on child sexual abuse prevention. You just need heart, community, and a willingness to show up.

To every gym, every kid who rolls, every parent who cheers, and every donor who gives: you are warriors. Together, we're helping change the trajectory of child sexual abuse, one community at a time.

Mark your calendar - April 10, 2027.
Let's make Super Seminar 5.0 the biggest one yet.

ABOUT LITTLE WARRIORS

Little Warriors is a national charitable organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention, and treatment of child sexual abuse trauma.

The Be Brave Ranch, located east of Edmonton, Alberta, is Little Warriors’ specialized, intensive, trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment centre focused on helping children from across Canada who have experienced sexual abuse, as well as their families.

The program serves children and adolescents aged 8–17 and is a one-year, combined on-site and outpatient program designed with significant input from leading academic and clinical experts in child sexual abuse and trauma. Participants receive more than 10 forms of therapy, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), DBT-informed interventions, expressive therapies (art, psychodrama, and more), somatic therapeutic interventions, Indigenous Elder teachings, animal-assisted therapy, EMDR, music therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy.

Published results confirm the success of the Be Brave Ranch program, showing highly significant reductions in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety. The program also leads to meaningful improvements in self-esteem, cognitive functioning, and resiliency.

You can take a virtual tour of the Be Brave Ranch here. I spent time with other counsellors, I even had to go to the hospital lots before because I was suicidal...now I know some real strategies that help me. I think I'm going to become a staff at the Ranch when I get older.
