Glori Meldrum steps back from Board Chair of Little Warriors

For the past several years Little Warrior’s Board of Directors has focused its efforts and attention on ensuring long term sustainability and growth for our organization and its mission. Little Warriors must be successful in the near term, but it must also thrive well into the distant future to continue to advocate, prevent, create awareness and provide specialized evidence-based treatment for child sexual abuse in service to the countless children, families and communities impacted by that traumatic crime.

Little Warriors’ Founder and Board Chair Glori Meldrum, has formally stepped back from her longstanding role on the Little Warriors the Board of Directors and leadership of the organization. The Be Brave Ranch treatment program and affiliated initiatives that have sprung from her vision are unique in Canada and even the world. They exist because of her passion and tireless work for the past 17 years.

Our Board, staff and valuable partners and stakeholders remain strongly committed to sustaining and growing Glori’s vision. The Board will now be led by Co-Chairs, Delly McEwan and Kirsten Hayne. We will continue to innovate and grow Little Warriors world-class, evidence-based centre of excellence, our research partnerships including with the University of Alberta Department of Psychiatry, advocacy for those impacted by child sexual abuse, barrier free access to our therapeutic modalities and prevention education for adults, children and teens. Data reveals $1 invested in Little Warriors saves $11 in social service spending. Our programs heal children so they can achieve positive outcomes free from self-harm, suicide, addiction, homelessness and interactions with police.
