At Little Warriors, we hold health and safety as our highest priority. In light of the evolving COVID-19 situation, we ultimately had to make some decisions to ensure the best interest of our children, families, dedicated staff, volunteers, visitors.
- It has been decided a temporary closure of the Be Brave Ranch is necessary. Current and active families that are in treatment at the Ranch will we contacted by therapists and our Clinical Transitional Coordinators. Our Clinical Team is putting together an online and telephone/video psycho education and supportive counselling version of our programming for families, children, and adolescents to access while they are away from the Be Brave Ranch treatment centre in an effort to support them until operations can be restored.
- Little Warriors and the Be Brave Ranch will be operating with a core staff until such time as operations begin to ramp up again.
- We will not be offering in-person Prevent It! workshops across Canada. Participants are encouraged to take our 90-minute online version on our website. You can register here: https://littlewarriors.ca/prevent-it/
- We will reschedule the Little Warriors Be Brave Luncheon that was scheduled for April 29th and it will now be on October 29th. Thank you to all of our event sponsors and table/ticket holders that will continue to support this essential fundraising event on the new date.
This is a trying time for businesses and charities, and we want to assure you we have taken measures to be fiscally responsible to support the long-term sustainability of Little Warriors while we navigate through the upcoming months.
As this situation is rapidly evolving, we will monitor this situation daily and determine the best next steps recommended by Alberta Health Services, the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization.
Thank you for your continued support of the work we are doing at Little Warriors. We are in this together.
