ABOUT LITTLE WARRIORS

Little Warriors is a national charitable organization headquartered in Alberta, dedicated to raising awareness, preventing, and treating child sexual abuse.

Our multidisciplinary clinical team has developed world-class, research-based education programs and trauma treatment for children, teens, and families impacted by sexual abuse. All of our programs are offered without financial barriers. The University of Alberta is our research partner, and our work has been published in multiple academic and clinical studies.

Trauma Treatment for Children, Teens, and Families

Be Brave Ranch
Located east of Edmonton, Alberta, the Be Brave Ranch is a specialized, intensive, trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment centre focused solely on helping children, adolescents, and families from across Canada who have been impacted by sexual abuse trauma.

The program serves children aged 8–12 and adolescents aged 13–17 and includes four intensive, on-site treatment sessions over the course of one year. Designed with input from leading academic and clinical experts in child trauma, the Be Brave Ranch program provides timely access to care, with a strong focus on managing waitlists so children and youth can receive support when they need it most.

Online Supports and Therapeutic Coaching

Be Brave Bridge Intensive Online Programs
These comprehensive online programs provide timely, virtual mental health support and psychoeducation for those affected by trauma. Our specialized counsellors and coaches support children, teens, and parents/caregivers through structured, module-based programs.

The Be Brave Bridge programs offer the same evidence-based, specialized trauma supports used at the Be Brave Ranch, delivering carefully researched interventions, tools, and strategies in an accessible online format.

Education Programs

Bridge Community Online Programs
These online programs are available to the general public and are designed to educate children and youth aged 8–17 across Canada. The self-directed, module-based programs provide age-appropriate information, resources, tools, and strategies in an interactive format. Programs can be accessed individually or in group settings and may be facilitated by youth service providers, professionals, schools, counsellors, and trained facilitators.

Prevent It! Program
The Prevent It! program teaches adults how to help prevent child sexual abuse through four key steps: Study, Talk, Observe, and Prepare for Action. Delivered by trained volunteer facilitators across Canada, this interactive workshop equips adults with the knowledge and tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse.

Workshops are offered in person or via Zoom, with both public group sessions and self-paced online options available. An Indigenous version of the workshop is also offered. View the Prevent It! promotional video.

I spent time with other counsellors, I even had to go to the hospital lots before because I was suicidal...now I know some real strategies that help me. I think I'm going to become a staff at the Ranch when I get older.
